Stay At Home Mom

My name is Marie from Michigan.

I always wanted to be a stay at home Mom but ended up being one unwillingly. (if that makes any sense). I have two sons 18 -a college freshman- and 13- in 8th grade.

WHY?
I was divorced in 1991 (they were 4 yrs. and 4 mos.), went to college '93-'97 for an associates, got the job, got laid off, after too many temp jobs went back to college, got another degree, but no job. They just don't hire me. Maybe age, maybe - well who knows? Am tired of living on nothing and sure don't want to lose the house after all these years. Besides I'm used to being home now plus with some health issues not having to get up and out early is nice. Will be home when my son gets here, just cuz he's older doesn't mean I shouldn't be around. In fact probably should be around more. A different car to replace our 1985 would be nice too. Maybe a hybrid.

Why Ameriplan®?
Saw it first on Dotcommommies. Having done Ebay, I know I want to do business on the internet. Not that I don't like people but dealing online is just easier, less hassle. Home parties? Yuck! Have done Tupperware, Avon and Princess House over the years. Lots of travel and gas!

Financially in 5 years?
Hopefully making a decent income. Six figures is a nice dream but realistically anything over $135 a week is a step up. I know you're supposed to set high goals but I've been shot down too many times so a small goal is fine for me.
