My name is Linda,and I am a transplanted Floridian living in Spring Hill, FL. Originally from Ohio where I was employed with a Fortune 500 company in Marketing/Manaagement for 18 years. While I was a single mom and raising my son, the corporate life had great advantages. But after my parenting job was finished, the "being in business for yourself" thoughts really took over. After several years of "imaging" just exactly what I would do in my own business, I came up with a plan. Quit my job, sold my house and moved, all in a relatively short period of time. Talk about a mid-life crisis!!! I went on to purchase a small service business, and was very successful until our anchor store moved out of the shopping center. Several years later I started another service business on my own. Advertised in the newspaper, hired one other person to help me get started and I was off and running. Guess you can say I was a single mom who had things to prove to herself!

My WHY is many things at this stage of my life. I've found out from experience that it is very difficult to have a business where you have to employ other people. Not many people really want to work. So I'm looking for that great feeling of accomplishing something again. I also want to have a financially more comfortable retirement. Both my new husband and myself have worked very hard for many years, and it is my way of helping us both be more comfortable.

I had looked at the AmeriPlan(R) opportunity several months ago and, in the meantime, signed up with another company. Like so many others, I found myself in business with someone who didn't deliver all they claimed on the website. I've received Stacy's newsletter for quite some time and, like many of you, would read what jobs were available working from home. I went back to the AmeriPlan(R) website and decided I would look into this. I had been impressed with what they had to offer many months ago when I first went to the site, and returning I was still impressed! I realized that AmeriPlan(R) had a product that was much needed in the United States, so I knew it was something I could believe in and market. The training and support I've received since signing up as a Broker is absolutely fantastic. AmeriPlan(R) is truly a first class organization to be associated with.

Unfortunately, I've had many setbacks since signing up as a Broker. Family health issues (both my husband and my parents) that have seemed to go on forever, and I'm the only healthy one to be able to provide care. Several hurricanes this year that require a lot of time getting ready for and cleaning up after, has only made me more determined to succeed in this business. All of this has prevented me from reaching the "first 21 days" goal set by AmeriPlan, but I look forward to the day that I make RSD and will feel that wonderful feeling of accomplishment again.

Hopefully in 5 years my husband and I will be able to do all of the things we both have dreamed of doing in our retirement, and won't have to worry about financially not being able to afford our dreams!
